Danny Perelta had a swagger like no other and probably the most eccentric wardrobe of clothes. But more than that Danny is a devoted citizen to helping youths find a way out of bad environments through programs such as music, dancing, and homework help. Danny has lived in the Bronx for a majority of his life. Danny had been working at The Point just as a photographer and community classes but, later on a position opened up as Director of Arts & Education. Danny has been involved with The Point for five months but, has also worked with other organizations to help youths. Even though Danny is a Director of Arts & Education he considers himself an artist instead of a director because he sees The Point as a 3D circus where he can be intertwined with the community and the people which, makes him part of their society instead of controlling it. Danny connects with The Point because his job is to administer the arts and education and he loves to spread the culture of the South Bronx to young peers around him and stay active in the community. Danny also feels a great connection with the young children because he grew up in Inwood which, was a similar neighborhood to the South Bronx and faced many obstacles children do today. The only difference was that Danny never had a after school organization/program to gain knowledge from and use these programs to escape being another victim of a bad society. He overcame these troubles by looking up to his family who have been very succesful and Danny's parents instilled with him a sense respect and hardwork. Also Danny understood the pros and cons of his society and understand what needed to be done to be succesful. Through his job Danny has been able to meet famous people around his community which, he is very grateful for because they have been role models to the community. In the next couple of years Danny seems himself working with The Point or working with another organization to help youths. One important point to make is that Danny has chosen to help anyone in need he does not feel like the South Bronx is the only place to focus on because there are problems everywhere.
