Kelston Bascom

Kelston Bascom was born in the Republican of Trinidad and Tobago. He is 31 years old and has lived in Queens about twenty years now, but on and off. Kelston started working at the Point very recently, he says about five months ago. He tells me that his experience at the Point has been the greatest; he says that the Point has welcomed him in the best ways. “It’s a great place that’s changing a lot of lives and giving great opportunities.” Before Kelston even thought about being a cook he did Real Estate for about 6 years and then went to school for culinary arts. He graduated in the year 2002 and since then he has been cooking. He enjoys it every time he cooks. It has been a total of 10 years ever since he decided to be a cook. One of the reasons why Kelston loves working at the Point is because he gets to interact with kids. He told me that at the Point the meal most bought is the Angus Burger. Kelston tells me that its not only bought because it taste good but also because it is only $6. While being there Kelston made us feel very welcome and made us VERY good food.
