We had the pleasure of interviewing two  founders  of the after school program for the point. Marie and Louise. They are child hood friends. As they grew older they saw the need to get there kids of the street. To create a place where kids can learn, interact, and be safe. They have both raised families in the south bronx. Who better to ask to take care of children then two loving mothers? They try to be as involved as possible with all their kids and parents. They know everyones names. By interacting with all the parents they feel that they can make them feel safe to leave there children there, By making parents feel comfortable the children feel fine as well. There ideal goal for the point is to keep kids of the street and have the point be like a second home.
Louise was a mother of 9 children and a grandmother of 13. Her last daughter is a senior in high-school. She always carries a gamers card on her just incase she wants to gamble.
Marries life motto is to "live life with no regrets." She believes that music is one of the most influential  things in her life.  She listens to all different kinds of music but the thing she relays on most is gospel. Every morning when she gets ready for the day she listens to gospel she says that it keeps get positive and happy during the day. Marrie and louise are such lively ladies they are full of jokes and entertaining stories. We are so happy that we got to know them very well.
